acciona.org and the Sustainable Development Goals

The acciona.org activity impacts on the three dimensions of the Development -economic, social and environmental-, which are included in the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, the United Nation's plan of action to favour the people, the planet and the prosperity to 2030.

We work to bring access to energy, water and sanitation to very-low-income people, who are out of those services extension plans, by applying technological and managerial innovation criteria, so we contribute to achieve the SDGs directly related: SDG6 on water & sanitation, SDG7 on sustainable & affordable energy, and SDG9 on resilient infrastructures and promotion of innovation. In addition, the results of that activity give some positive impacts on our users' quality of life, such as alleviation of poverty, improvement of health, education, work, etc. that favour the achievement of other SDGs.

This contribution is part of the ACCIONA’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): being its corporate foundation, we favour the achievement of the SDGs by providing access to the mentioned basic services and infrastructures -related to the company’s lines of business- at the base of the pyramid.
