We continue contributing to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals
02/14/2019- In 2018, acciona.org provided more than 50,000 people with access to basic electricity service in isolated, rural & indigenous communities. It also started projects for access to safe cooking means, as well as to drinking water and appropriate sanitation.
- This activity is aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and favours the achievement of its goals; the acciona.org results in 2018 impacts specially on the Sustainable Development Goal nº 7 “Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all” and on those related to poverty alleviation, improvement of health, education, work…
In 2018 we increased again the scope of our work, by consolidating our presence in the Peruvian Amazonia and Mexico, as well as extending our action to new territories such as Panama. The result of this activity is summarized below; it is expressed in social, economic and environmental impact figures that are linked to several Sustainable Development Goals.
This contribution is part of the ACCIONA’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Being the ACCIONA’s corporate foundation, we favour the achievement of the SDG by providing basic services and infrastructures -related to the ACCIONA’s lines of business- at the base of the pyramid: the access to adequate energy, water and sanitation improves the health, education, economy and environment of the most underserved communities, what is essential for their development.
