In 2020, we continued extending our activity of provision of access to energy, water & sanitation basic services. Our projects benefited 1,710 additional households during the year, having reached 15,210 in total –about 64,000 people– in rural communities in Peru, Mexico and Panama.
In 2020, in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic, we continued implementing our projects in situ, while meeting the imposed restrictions and taking the necessary protection means. Thus, we have ensured and extended the access to basic services in households and communities where there are no expectations of meeting those needs through conventional means (network extension).
By ending the year, our projects reached 64,000 people benefited in 15,210 households living in poverty and extreme poverty conditions in isolated rural communities in Peru, Mexico and Panama, where that access to electricity, water, sanitation and cooking impacts positively in the activity, health, economy and environment of the population.
