OUR PROGRAMMES IN PERU

Currently, the main challenge of acciona.org is the development of an electrification model for communities in the Peruvian rainforest, through the Luz en Casa Amazonia programme, which we are implementing in the Napo river basin (Loreto).

This programme implies taking another step forward in the activity we started in Peru, in 2009, with the Luz en Casa programme in Cajamarca, with which we proved the feasibility, sustainability and affordability of bringing electricity to the most remote households. In addition, we developed a programme supplementary to the latter, Luz Comunitaria-Cajamarca to bring electricity to the community centres (churches, schools...) in localities where we offer home service. In 2022 we extend the rural electricity access programme to the Cusco department with Luz en Casa Cusco.

acciona.org relies on the collaboration with other entities with common objectives, as well as the unselfish participation of individuals, such as the ACCIONA volunteers, to execute the aformentioned actions.
