Activity
In Philippines, acciona.org works through acciona.org Philippines, a Philippine non-profit foundation established in 2022, having the acciona.org Foundation as its reference partner.
Our objective is to promote human development through access to basic services. In the Philippines, we facilitate access to modern energy solutions for low-income people in rural and Indigenous communities where there is no expectation that electricity services will be provided through traditional means. With this aim, we supply third-generation solar home systems (3GSHS).
In addition, we have extended the Light at Home Centres network to promote that local entrepreneurs with small shops in reference locations offer proximity attention to the beneficiaries.
Our projects increase their positive impact on beneficiary communities year after year, contributing primarily to SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) by providing access to sustainable, reliable and affordable energy solutions. They also have a positive impact on other areas of development, contributing to poverty reduction, improved health and well-being, the promotion of gender equality, access to education and training, the growth of local economies, and environmental protection.
