WE BRING ACCESS TO ELECTRICITY AND COOKSTOVES TO THE MOST REMOTE HOUSEHOLDS
acciona.org Mexico provides, since 2012, third generation solar home systems (3GSHS) to offer a basic electricity service to more than 8,500 households (34,000 people) in isolated rural communities in the State of Oaxaca. In order to ensure spares and technical services for those systems, it has also opened the so-called Centros Luz en Casa owned by local entrepreneurs having small shops in reference localities. Also, it has started the provision of improved cookstoves and it has taken charge of the exploitation of 416 isolated photovoltaic systems (2G), with which more than 1,600 people have electricity in Nuevo Leon and Chiapas.
